Maintenance and development

Make the next change with a clearer view of risk.

We help assess and improve existing software. The starting point is how the product runs, what it depends on and how changes reach production.

02

Establish the state, then plan the changes

01

Dependency map

Code, services, access, environments and operating responsibility.

02

Stabilisation priorities

Risks and defects ordered by impact and how the correction can be verified.

03

An agreed development scope

Changes with acceptance criteria, testing and a release approach.

04

Boundaries

We cannot responsibly estimate every repair before understanding the code, infrastructure, data, and release process. Maintenance should not disguise a product with no owner or purpose. High uncertainty may call for diagnosis and a stabilisation plan before feature work.

01

Signs of a fit

  • releases are rare or unpredictable;
  • recurring defects are patched without finding their cause;
  • tests, monitoring, or operating notes are missing;
  • ageing dependencies block product changes;
  • technical and business priorities live in separate queues.
03

Improving an operational panel

  1. 01

    Understand dependencies

    Review code, integrations and the release process.

  2. 02

    Choose the first change

    Select a problem whose correction can be evaluated responsibly.

  3. 03

    Release and observe

    Check behaviour and define how to respond if the change fails.

05

Delivery and client inputs

We begin with read-only access, a system map, quality checks, and a visible risk register. Work is prioritised and delivered in small changes with evidence. We need repository and operational documentation, production signals where safely available, and a product decision owner.

Before we talk

Before we start

Support hours, availability and any service level must be agreed separately. This website does not offer a ready-made SLA.
